Schneck Integrative Medicine

Integrative Medicine combines the best of conventional medicine with alternative therapies to address chronic health issues. We are not a primary care office, but work in concert with your family physician providing specialized integrative care for hormone imbalances, thyroid conditions, fatigue, IBS and more.

What is Integrative Medicine?

Integrative medicine is the practice of utilizing the best of conventional and alternative medicine. This combination includes the use of various treatments such as supplements and herbs, as well as approaching the patient from a “body as a whole” point of view. Integrative medicine prescriptions include an emphasis on lifestyle such as dietary programs and exercise.

“I saw Dr. Windley for bursitis in my hip and he suggested acupuncture. During my third treatment, I felt some pain but then a huge release of tension and energy. That treatment has completely changed the way I move and feel. The difference is amazing! I totally trust Dr. Windley with my care.”

More on Conditions and Schneck's Treatment Options

Integrative medicine complements conventional medicine with a variety of treatment programs.

Gut Health (Irritable Bowel): We employ various testing and treatment methods to strengthen the digestive tract.

Thyroid Health (Low thyroid and Hashimoto’s disease): In the case of low thyroid and Hashimoto's disease, our office conducts a thorough evaluation of thyroid labs. We also assess nutritional and environmental factors that could affect thyroid production, along with considering other hormones that may play a role.

Hormone Health (Menopause and Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy): Hormone issues, such as menopause, are addressed in both men and women. This includes hormones like estrogens (estradiol, estriol, and estrone), progesterone, testosterone, and cortisol. Treatments may involve bioidentical hormones or herbal and vitamin approaches.

Weight Loss: Our weight loss programs encompass dietary guidance, exercise plans, discussions on eating timeframes, detoxification, and hormone balance.

Fatigue: Conditions leading to fatigue typically require a combination of tools, which may include nutritional assessment, hormone balance, sleep assistance, and sometimes bowel health.

Heart Health: We provide natural options for heart health, including vitamins and chelation therapy.

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: For Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, we suggest nutritional and supplement strategies to lower blood sugar and manage problems like neuropathy.

Arthritis and Headache Treatment: We offer natural treatment options for arthritis pain and headaches.

Bone Health (Osteopenia and Osteoporosis): Supplement options are available for bone loss, including osteopenia and osteoporosis.

Cancer Support: Our approach to cancer support works alongside conventional care to enhance its effectiveness. Treatment options include dietary changes, vitamins, herbs, IV vitamin C, frequency-specific microcurrent (FSM), B12 shots, chelation therapy, and acupuncture.

Functional Medicine Testing: At our clinic, we use various forms of functional medicine testing. While this is not an exhaustive list of what we can offer, the treatment programs listed above have consistently proven helpful to our patients.

Conditions & Treatments

Non-traditional healing methods are beneficial not only in ridding a body of ailments, but also assisting you in being the healthiest you can possibly be. Many of the problems our bodies face do not need prescription drugs to fix, but rather a change in what we put in our bodies in the first place. Poor nutrition, hormone imbalance, and a presence of toxins in the body are just some of the issues that can be rectified with integrative healing. The following are the services offered at Schneck Integrative Medicine Center, though new and innovative methods continue to be introduced.
