As a not-for-profit organization, Schneck Medical Center relies on volunteers to assist staff in completing many daily tasks allowing staff to spend more time providing patient care.

Volunteers are very special people. They provide resources far more valuable than most people realize. They choose to help others by giving of themselves. Here are some of the roles volunteers participate:
Our Schneck Guild volunteers are vital to our success. In addition to the services they provide to our team and our patients, they also raise money to help fund important projects at Schneck. The Schneck Gift Shop is the Guild's largest fundraising effort, and is fully staffed by Guild Volunteers. Other special events like scrub sales, book and candy sales are held at the Schneck campus. The Guild has donated funds to Schneck projects, small and large, all benefiting patients and families in our communities. Join the Schneck Guild team and make a difference!

Are you interested in a career in healthcare? Do you want to learn more about the hospital? Schneck offers a summer Junior Volunteer Program each year. The program offers students the chance to volunteer within a hospital department over the summer.
An important note for Junior Volunteer applicants and parents: The junior volunteer program takes place each summer. Information regarding the program will be released in the spring each year.
The Schneck Guild awards up to three $1,000 scholarships annually to graduating seniors that have been past junior volunteers and plan on pursuing a career in healthcare. Qualifying applicants may apply in March each year. Click below to access the application.

Volunteers with the Schneck Guild operate the Schneck Courtesy Shuttle Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm. If you need assistance from the parking lot, simply call (812) 523-7447 or if you are within the hospital facilities you can reach them by calling 57447 from a Schneck phone.
Don't hesitate to call! The courtesy shuttle helps patients and visitors get to and from our doors that may have physical limitations, have their hands full, or are avoiding a torrential downpour.
Do you like to help those in our community? Does becoming a shuttle driver interest you? We are looking for volunteer drivers. This opportunity requires volunteers to commit to a regularly scheduled time or as a fill-in driver as needed due to schedule cancellations. The Schneck Guild Impact
The Schneck Guild has raised and donated funds to Schneck projects, large and small. Our fundraising events are held on the Schneck Medical Center campus and are open to the public. Donations have helped fund projects like our new Critical Care Unit and the Pediatric Gym in Schneck Rehabilitation. Interested in volunteering? Join us!
