Cancer

Cancer is a disorder in which a disease-corrupted cell will divide and multiply, causing tumors that may spread to nearby tissues and throughout the body.

Cancer can affect virtually any area of the body and can be hereditary or caused by environmental or lifestyle factors. It often goes undetected as symptoms can be hard to notice or related to other illnesses. Those with a family history of cancer, especially particularly aggressive types, should be screened regularly as early detection is key to treatment.
