Zabor of Schneck Medical Center Elected to Indiana Rural Health Association Board of Directors

Schneck Medical Center is proud to announce that Susan Zabor, MBA, MSN, RN, CSSBB, CQO, Vice President of Clinical and Provider Management and Chief Quality Officer at Schneck Medical Center, has been elected to the Indiana Rural Health Association (IRHA) Board of Directors.

“It's an honor to be elected to the Indiana Rural Health Association board. I'm excited to work towards improving healthcare access and outcomes for rural communities,” remarked Zabor. “IRHA is essential for ensuring that rural communities have access to quality healthcare. They advocate for the needs of rural populations, support healthcare providers, and work towards reducing health disparities. Their efforts are vital for the health, well-being, and economic sustainability of rural areas.”

Zabor earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Purdue University, and her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialty in Nursing Management and Leadership and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern Indiana. In addition, Zabor is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt by the American Society of Quality.

In 1996, Zabor began her career as a staff nurse at Schneck Medical Center. In 1998, she continued her nursing career as a staff nurse at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, before returning to Schneck in 2005. Since that time at Schneck, she has held the positions of staff nurse, Quality Outcomes Coordinator, the Director of Lean Six Sigma & Organizational Projects, and is currently the Vice President of Clinical and Provider Management and Chief Quality Officer.
