| Doctor FAQ

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Marion, Indiana about an hour north of Indianapolis. Fun fact: It is the home of James Dean and Garfield the Cat. Throughout high school, I was involved in any and every activity that my school offered. Whether that be sports (football, swimming and golf), band, clubs—I participated in everything I could.

In college at Butler, I dedicated my extracurriculars to being more involved in the community. My biggest activity I was involved in was raising funds for Special Olympics of Indiana through hosting the Polar Plunge and other major events on campus.

Please tell us about your family.

I have a wonderful wife, Taylor, of now 8 years. We met in college and she has been with me through the journey to get here. In 2024, we had our first child, Emma, who always has the biggest smile on her face.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

From being a foodie to binging reality TV to being an avid sports fan, my hobbies are eclectic and vast.

What is the one place you would most like to visit?

I would love to visit Fiji and stay in one of the cabanas over the water.

When did you know you wanted to be a physician?

My mother was a special needs teacher and my father a biology teacher. With my mother's compassion and father's science ability, I feel as if I was destined to become a doctor from learning from them.

What is your favorite memory from your medical training?

My favorite memory during residency was remembering the last 28-hour call shift I had and knowing that I had finally made it to the end!

What do you like most about practicing medicine?

As a physician, I feel it is my duty to provide the best care that I know how to give as people entrust their lives, doubts, fears, successes, among other things with me. It is humbling to know that I can make an impact on my patient's lives.

What is your most memorable patient story?

My most memorable patient story was receiving a hug from a child that I had personally diagnosed with cancer, been with them through their treatments on the oncology ward, and seen them at their worst in the intensive care unit, and for him to tell me that he was cancer free.

What attracted you to work at Schneck?

I was attracted to Schneck as it is patient and community forward with everything it does. Schneck’s goals of providing the best care to the local community align with why I became a physician.
